Kexi, the desktop database application competing with MS Access got new features in this release as well as many bugfixes.
Major changes
- "Object" datatype which enables image storage within the database columns
- "Image" widget displaying images and allowing to insert them within the table and form view
- a new combo box taking advantage of the database relationships, available in the table and form view
- support for sort order in the database query design and SQL view
- support for parameter queries for end users
- support for default values in the table and form views
- Tools -> Compact database command for compacting database files
