Kexi 2007.1 is an update for 2007 release containing a number of fixes, improvements and the following new functions:
- much extended 'Assign Action" window now allows for easy assigning actions to form buttons for moving to next data row, showing table or query, printing specified data and much more
- the startup window now provides the "New Database Project From Template" command to create a new database from selected template; built in templates are available: "Movie Catalog" and "Addressbook"
- new "Edit->Find" function enabling easy data search for tables, queries and forms; available features:
- find next, previous
- shortcut keys: CTRL+F, F3 and Shift+F3
- searching in all fields, selected field or current field
- searching up from the cursor position, down, or from the first row
- searching for all contents of field, part of field or beginning of field
- case-sensitive and case-insensitive search
- optional matching for whole words
- searching within visible values of lookup fields
- new 'User Mode" allowing to switch off all commands related to editing project's design mode; available by specifying "--user-mode" command line option, what makes it easier to deploy Kexi-based applications for end-users
- in the Table Designer, changing some properties (like caption, description, default value) will not force to remove the edited table's data upon saving
- images can be now printed and displayed on the print preview
